Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the GRID platform. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GRID, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including guest visitors and registered account holders.

2. Description of Service

GRID was conceived, designed, and developed by CapricornDev as an aviation intelligence platform providing:

• **Theoretical knowledge preparation** — Structured syllabi, question banks, practice assessments, and performance analytics across aviation theory subjects • **Progress tracking** — Personalised dashboards recording study progress, assessment scores, and subject mastery across all syllabus areas • **Aerodrome intelligence** — Searchable aerodrome database with charts, procedures, and operational information • **Flight planning tools** — Interactive maps, route planning utilities, weather overlays, and airspace visualisation • **Pilot Comms** — Pilot discovery, friend requests, direct messaging, profile and activity sharing, and the sharing of questions, flight plots, routes, and navlogs • **Resource library** — Study notes, documents, and reference materials

GRID is a study and planning aid. It does not replace or substitute for official flight training, certified ground instruction, or regulatory authority-approved examination programmes. All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

3. User Accounts

To access the full Platform you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration • Maintain and promptly update your account information • Keep your password and authentication credentials confidential • Not share your account with any other person • Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised use of your account • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information, have been inactive for an extended period, or that have been used in violation of these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity • Transmit unsolicited advertising, spam, repetitive friend requests, or promotional material • Harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, or abuse another pilot, or share hateful, sexually explicit, unlawful, or otherwise harmful content • Share another person's private information or communications without permission • Engage in conduct that restricts or inhibits any other user's enjoyment of the Platform • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, its servers, or any connected systems • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code • Use automated bots, scrapers, or data-mining tools without prior written consent • Reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit any Platform content without authorisation • Use messages, shared routes, navlogs, questions, or other Platform content operationally in a way that could compromise flight safety

You are responsible for interactions and content sent through Pilot Comms. We may remove content or restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law.

5. Aviation Safety Disclaimer

**GRID is a study and planning tool only. It is not a certified operational system.**

Content on the Platform — including aerodrome information, procedures, airspace data, weather, and navigation references — may not reflect the most current operational data and must not be used as a sole source of information for actual flight operations.

Always consult current official publications (AIPs, NOTAMs, official charts, and certified weather services) before any flight. Regulations and procedures change; you are solely responsible for verifying the currency and accuracy of any information before relying on it for operational aviation purposes.

GRID and its operators accept no liability for any incident, accident, regulatory infringement, or examination outcome arising from reliance on Platform content.

6. Intellectual Property

All Platform content — including but not limited to text, question banks, graphics, illustrations, maps, software, and data — is the property of GRID or its content licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial aviation study and planning purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.

User-generated content, including notes, annotations, messages, profile content, and original flight-planning material, remains yours. You confirm that you have the rights needed to share that content. By creating or sending it through the Platform, you grant GRID a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, reproduce, and display it only as needed to operate the service and deliver it to the pilots you select.

7. Accuracy of Content

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that study content, question banks, and reference material are accurate and current. However, GRID makes no warranties or representations regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any content for a particular regulatory authority's examination or jurisdiction.

Aviation regulations, procedures, and technical content change over time. Question banks and study material are updated periodically but may not immediately reflect regulatory changes. You are responsible for cross-referencing official sources and verifying currency before examination or flight.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GRID and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, examination fees, data loss, or reputational harm — arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

In no event shall GRID's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you, if any, to access the Platform in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services (such as mapping providers or weather data sources) that are not owned or controlled by GRID. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, accuracy, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.

We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party services you access through or alongside the Platform.

10. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Platform or any feature at any time, with or without notice, for maintenance, improvement, or commercial reasons. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, via in-platform notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction.

13. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms of Service or wish to report a concern, please contact us through the Platform's support channels or via the contact information provided in your account settings.
